There are a ton of kits that are cheaper and you can make your own I believe if you get the right size bolts.
Mine is lowered on stock bolts with the front bushings cut in half and the rears not turned all the way down. Its the perfect height IMO because I never bottom out and its looks excellent without being too low. Personally I wouldn't use lowering bolts and just do what I did. If you do decide to go for a kit, Zip corvette makes an inexpensive one and there are some good ones on eBay.
Look at the Zip bolts from Zipcorvette.com This is what it looks like. Rode ok kinda harsh but that's all subjective. You can have a good ride on aftermarket bolts and a shorter shock like the ridetech shock or Bilstein sports.
so no matter how you lower car(except coilovers)it will ride sh!tty?
Well, there's always the LG drop spindles which I used. They're not cheap, but you can lower the car one inch and maintain the factory trim height setting.

I believe the eibach kit is just for the front! It replaces the stock bolts with longer bolts so you can lower it even farther.
You're confused. Longer bolts are used on the REAR, to get it lower. On the front, you turn the OE bolts clockwise, to make them "shorter", lowering the car.....

Nope, mine rides great (compliant and no bottoming out). I'm lowered on stock bolts all the way with cut bushings in the front and most of the way in the rear.
I lowered my in the rear only about 1" still has a little bit of rake, but the wheel well gaps look much better. I left about 3 threads showing on the the rear bolts...
Pic of wheel gap after lowering rear 1"... it's actually settle just a tad bit more in the rear...

I went with the after market lowering bolts for the front because it was uneven with the stock ones. The driver side barely lowered 1/4 inch even all the way down with the stock bolts.
Mine is not as low in the front as zdeckich (red FRC) but lower than VengeanceVette's (blue).
I did not notice any difference in the ride quality before or after besides the difference in rake. The stance looks 100% better. I'm a little OCD and wanted a nice even space between the tire and well all the way around.
One thing to note, you will need to be extra careful over speed bumps or bumps and dips in the road. I scrape my front air dams all the time.
I'll try to post up a pic later............(OK, it's later)
