Default Prothane Bushings Sleeves?

Received kit for a 99 C5 (7-2014, front and rear), however the aluminum sleeves were not included. Removed the original rubber bushings and tried to remove the sleeve without success.

Tried to cut/torch the rubber; messy, smelly and to much effort.
It appears the rubber is fused on to the aluminum sleeve.
Dealer only sells sleeve already in rubber bushing.

Anyone know where I can buy a set of sleeves?

Or do I have to return the Prothane and buy VB&P or Pfadt complete bushing and sleeve kit?

Other ideas?

Thanks

I would say you bought them from the wrong vendor.

I can't believe any company would sell C5 bushings without sleeves.
Unless someone can clue me into where I can can a set of sleeves, I'm returning the Prothane and picking up a real set from VB&P.

I installed the Prothane kit on my car. I burnt the sleeves out with a torch, the cleaned them up with a soft wire wheel. Worked Great and only took about an hour.

You can also sit the bushing in acetone overnight and it will soften the rubber.

Try a drill and appropriately sized bit and just keep drilling at the rubber until you chew most of it out.

Took the easy way out, returned the Prothane and bought a set with sleeves from VB&P for $370 shipped (includes lower rear shock tower bushings).

When I have free time I'll try your suggestions and perhaps sell the cleaned sleeves. I'm sure someone will want them.

Thanks
