Pulled apart my vararam intake and saw that some oil had settle at the bottom the my TB. Not sure if there is any down in the manifold or not but I plan on getting some of the intake valve cleaner. I just want to make sure that im correct in that I have someone rev the car to about 2k spray a full can straight through the TB? Thanks guys
Which exact CRC product are you using? They make a couple different cleaners. I can find out the procedure if I know the exact product name.
Its the intake valve cleaner. Spray can with the straw. It says to spray entire bottle into the intake while keeping rpms at 2k. Just kinda seems risky....

Is it this product? http://crcindustries.com/auto/?s=05319
You use it exactly the way its states.
Although it was specifically designed for direct injection engines, it works
on all FI engines. You can also call customer service at (800).272 8963
if you're still not sure.

Yes thats it. I have actually decided instead trying this product I am going to get the Seafoam spray and use that. I feel more comfortable with it because of how you can use the straw with the airbox still all in tact.
You can use that as well. The label on the intake cleaner is being re-printed to say
"spray at one second intervals until can is empty" this will prevent pooling.

Good luck!
Thanks! Just to follow up I used the seafoam spray, about half a can, and got a little smoke so it worked at least a little. Anyway the car is running very strong now. Not that it wasnt prior to the spray, but it seems to idle a little smoother now.

So how did you spray it into the intake? Did you remove the air filter and spray up through the MAF and throttle body? I've also seen where people will remove the vac line just past the throttle body and spray in through that port.
