Traction Control button

Traction Control button
I press my button 1 or 2 times and nothing happens. I have no traction control light on my dash or anything, it doesnt say competitive mode or anything on the DIC.. anyone know whats up?

This could be a stupid question.. but does it have to be in drive or does it work in park as well?

It is 2000, there is a traction control button but it does nothing, doesnt show any signs of working

The DIC never says what mode it is in nor does it say anything about traction control, says powered by chevy and goes straight to the odometer

Try holding the button down for 5 or more seconds and see what happens.

How does it come out? You are talking about the panel the traction control button is sitting in, correct?

It doesn't say anything. I think only ones with active handling say Active Handling around it.

So, went out today and when I turned on the car it filtered through traction control on traction control off a few times then stopped working and I received code b2597. Now it isnt working at all.

Luckily I think it's a faulty switch. Took it off, smacked it a bit, put it back on and it works

Looks like they are around $30 on eBay. About the cheapest thing that could be wrong
