HP 97 c5?????
Anyone know how much HP a stock 97 C5 makes? If I put a K&N twin filter system and a corsa exhaust on how much HP gain would I see? torque? Because there are varying answers, can you tell me where did you get this info from? :seeya

I going to say minimal. I put the Xr-1 on mine and I could not really tell a difference. When I put the Vortex on I could tell a difference at higher RPM's. But as for exact numbers I do not know. I think with the G-tech I had 305 RWHP with the Xr-1

I think it is rated 345 bhp stock. This applies on the LS1 up to 2000. Starting 2001, hp was upped 5 hp, making 350 on Coupes and Convertibles, Z06 rated at 385.

when I had my 97 I installed the vortex and I thought there was a huge improvement. For some reason my 97 felt hella quicker then my 2000. I kinda miss it :sad: Anyways, good luck

I got something like 303 with the Vortex, MAF ends and Bridge :(
I picked up Autotap and found a was a little lean so now I'm using a MAFT.
I haven't dynoed after the MAFT to see but my pinging went away which is always a good thing.

In 1999 I dynoed the car at Corvettes at Carlisle and with the Hypertech III I got 298 HP on 4 runs. There wasn't more than a half horsepower difference between the runs. Then in 2000 I went back and tired it again without the HPIII. I got 296 horsepower on 3 different runs with about the same variation. The difference between the 298 and the 296 is within the 1% error seen on a Dynojet.

I got a little over 296 stock. With the mods listed below, I have about 317, but only got 2 hp from the MAF Translator. I think I only got about 2 hp from the exhaust mod, x-pipe, etc. I picked up most of it (17 hp) with the Blackwing, power duct and coupler, and MAF screen out.
