coolant is dripping from the balancer onto the spring. i cant see where its comming from. is that the pump or could it be something else?
is the pump somehow rebuildable (seals)? if not, what is a good aftermarket pump (rockauto)? as i will be installing a centri shortly, should i get a ls3 or a ls6 or another pump?
Be sure to buy the GM gaskets. These water pumps usually come with paper gaskets. This one does not come with a thermostat and thermostat housing.
As 8VETTE7 posted be sure to look for other leaks, the connection to the throttlebody is right above your leak spot, and could be that as well. What usually happens with these water pumps is the shaft seal goes bad. The pump still does its job, moving coolant, but the leak prevents full pressurization of the cooling system leading to boiling at lower temperatures. When the coolant boils, the heat transfer capability goes way down

if you're questioning the pump just do it now and save yourself the hassle because after you put a blower on the car and the pump develops a leak you will have to pull the headunit back off just to replace it, just a pain in the butt if you ask me
