Default Ext. temp gauge went wacko

Does anyone have problems with intermittent incorrect readings from the external temperature sensor?

It's 103 out and the damn thing reads 32 and turns on the heater (But some times it works fine). The dealer says there's nothing wrong. Is there something I need to clean, or replace?

Is the connection good and tight at the bottom of the radiator shroud where the lead plughs into the sensor? Sounds like something is loose and not making good contact all of the time. Have you checked for any DTC codes on the DIC?

I hope you have a better time fixing it than me :cry Mine does exactly the same thing. I replaced the sensor and the conector and its still doing it. mine seems to go below the dreaded 34 when its raining  keep us posted and good luck.
