Default Intake Manifold Research

I am trying to put together a list of intake maniold casting numbers for all to use, and I would appreciate some input. I nedd the casting number from the top right edge near the middle, the year (Also early or late if you know), and Z06 or not. PLEASE be sure this is the original manifold. Either list here or e-mail me at:

chilelover@att.net

Thanks

Just amazing! I have had this post out here and have not had one single reply from anyone. And I am pretty sure that at least 99% of the posters here have a C5. Some of the bigger tuners have told me that most of the people on this forum are just looking for help for themselves, and are not willing to help if others ask. I see how right they were, and why there was a reluctance to start a FAQ section for tuners. Oh well, I will just bite my tongue and move on.

Why do you want a casting number? Who cares what the casting number is? Look at the bottom of the intake manifold, If its got a bump down the middle its the old LS1 style, if its flat its the LS6 style.

JMX,
I almost bought one from a 2001 model that had the bump on the bottom, not flat. That was NOT what I wanted. Someone said it may have been from a Holden motor.
Great idea to just look at the bottom instead of the number. How do YOU do that when it is still mounted to the engine?

I've never had the need to check the manifold while it was on the car before. Not sure why I'd need to ever.

BASF makes the intake manifold, you may want to check with them

You can look at the coolent pipes with the manifold on the car, if it goes under the intake its not an LS6 intake. I guess someone could put the LS6 coolent pipes on a car with an LS1 intake to try to sell his intake as an LS6 but it seems like an awfull lot of work..

If its of the car looking underneath will tell you right away.

I have seen a list of casting numbers on ls1.com or ls1tech, there are a few different ones for the LS6, and yes I believe there are people selling 01+ holdon intakes as LS6 which I dont think they are..

Thanks for those replies with the information. As for my comment on not a lot of people wanting to contribute, see the replies by jmx. A lot of "I' and "Mine" and "Who cares". This just reinforces what I was saying in my second post. However, I will stick around and try to be of help if asked.
