Hello all, I am replacing a faulty fuel pump (left side) in my 03+ (FFS) ZO6 , (pump located from the top not the side). Anybody have any helpful hints how to gain access to the the fuel lines inside the flex pipe connecting the two tanks? I have both tanks loose at the bottom and the flex hose connector unlatched but that's all I can do without disconnecting those 2 hoses inside the flex pipe and then the fuel line above that mess with the white connector. I was hoping to do this without dropping the whole rear sub frame, diff and tranny but its not looking good. Basically , I can't figure out how to get those 2 lines inside the cross over flex hose disconnected without putting some serious strain on that connection plus there is no room even working the left tank up and down. What a mess....
Thanks for any ideas.
I can provide the FSM info from 03 on doing the tank. Just not at home now. You may also want to search C6 Fuel Tank Removal or something similar (fuel fittings) to see what is there. Do an internet search and not a Forum search.
If I recall the FSM has separate specific guidance on removing the various types of fuel line connectors. I can provide them all.

Awesome! The video helped , since I wasn't sure how to get the white connectors to release! Just gotta squeeze them on the fat part.
So, I wonder if I drop the right tank first then I get some slack in the flex line and move it away from the 2 lines connecting to the left tank? ( It appears those 2 fuel lines just push in and are held just by tension and "O" rings?). I'll try tonite, Thanks!
Here is the FSM information. It says 2004 but it is the same as the late 2003. Let me know if you can't open them for some reason and I can email them directly to you. Let us know how it goes.
