I pull up to my garage today, and as I'm waiting for the door to lift, my DIC starts flashing "Reduced engine power" and "Service Traction Control", while at the same time, my T/C light is displayed like I had turned it off. So I limp the car into the garage (reduced power mode), and try to clear the codes with the car still running. No go, as I have a current code in 10-PCM & in 20-TCS. So, I turn the car off, cycle the key (without starting), clear all my codes, and turn the key off. I wait about 10 seconds, stick the key in, cycle the gauges, and she fires right up. Went out, drove about 30 miles, and all is good. Guess it just needed a good "re-boot". Now, if I can just get the damn PIAA fogs to quit blowing fuses, I'll be happy. :cuss :mad Starting to look like I need a new beater, and hand this one over to the wife. :D
Re: I think I have a Microsoft version PCM ..... (66ImpalaLT1)
What codes did you clear?
I knew someone would ask that. All of them. ;)
I looked at what they were, but forgot. It's fixed, but if it does it again, I'll be in less of a hurry and write them down and look them up.

Been there!!! I think GM needs to give us a freaking interface when we buy these cars. Like LS1 edit but better. It is extremely annoying when your car goes hay wire and the motor is prefectly fine. Just my .02$
Re: I think I have a Microsoft version PCM ..... (JWSchmidt3)
Thats funny as SHEET!
As for the PIIAs - I was popping fuses and bulbs for a while until I called them and pitched a bit - and they sent me a new updated relay and I havent had a problem since.. U might want to call them and inquire about your relay version as well -

That's what I was thinking. I replaced the 10 fuse with a 15, and it still popped. Just got these though, I would figure they'd replaced the relays by now. Oh well, I'll fire off an email to PIAA, and have COH check the ground next time I'm home.
