excessive oil comsumption
Losing oil at an high rate, seems to be associated with extended highway driving. Recently took a short road trip, about 1000 miles in total, and lost about 1.5 quarts of oil. Engine has about 60,000 miles, cammed and bolt ons, have a catch can on there as well. No visible leaks, bottom of bellhousing is clean, oil pan is clean, under front cover is clean. Just replaced the valve seals a few months ago after suspecting those were the problems - all the exhaust seals had become unseated and looked damaged... not sure from heat or physical contact with the dual springs. With no visible leaks, and assuming the seals are good (waiting for a cool day to pull a few springs to take a look), the only other cause can be bad rings right? I'm not seeing any blue smoke at idle or revving in neutral.
