1 headlight up

1 headlight up
I have a 2000 c5 convertible and don't drive it at night much at all. I turned on the headlights last night and the passenger side would not come up but the light was on. What is a good place to start for the most common cause of this?

just had this exact prob with a 97. thanks to pros on here, Changed gear and the stop plastic things, fixed the problem. Hope this helps you. Thanks for all the help I get from the members here, there is no better community on-line!!

I read some of these great articles that were posted and manually raised the headlight to begin dis-assembly and thougt I would turn them off and on, they started working correctly then. I think it might have been the length of time it had been since they were used that may have contributed to them not working correctly. Long story short ,they now work fine, thanks for all the insight and advice
