Default Exhaust leak?
Is there any way to check to see if I have an exhaust leak without raising the car? I dont have a lift or jack. I recently had a shop weld my stock cats back on and I believe i may have a leak in that area... sounds kinda fluttery under throttle.

i have allways check from under with your hand, car running see if you can feel the exhaust puffing out a hole..

Take it back to the shop that did it and ask them to double check. Any reputable shop will do it. Only takes them 5 minutes.

Is it ok to put some rags inside the tips the force extra exhaust out of any leak? Ive heard of doing this but didnt know if any damage could be done.

The smoke will come out of wherever the leak is, but if you can just raise the car and feel around that'd be much better
