Refigerant Level - How do you check it?
Now that the days of sight glasses are gone and most of the A/C plumbing in the C5 is beyond reach, how can you check to see if your A/C is properly charged?

Todays equipment will weigh the amount removed when the system is evacuated :yesnod: Because todays systems use R134A that works on higher head pressures,it is important that the system is charged with the correct amount :lol:

Get a guage for $20 or so and check your lowside pressure. There's a port on the AC system for this where a guage plugs right in. After the AC runs on high for a few minutes it should be around mid 40's psi...or at least it is on mine.
