Hey, I was looking in my owners manual, it says to see the Corvette Service Manual for the "Correct" oil change details?? Is there something speical I must do? ART
Double check my early morning ramblings but if I remember right.. You are supposed to be level or slight rear tilt, let it drain for at least 7 minutes, add 6.5 qts 5-30 Mobil1. Lot of baffles in the pan take time to drain
If you DIY, the only thing that you must get down pat (be comfortable in visualization and execution) is the jacking up and jacking down procedures. The actual oil change is:R/R oil filler plug, R/R oil drain plug, R/R oil filter etc. It could not be easier.
I think the key is to start level, then raise slightly when oil flow stops, and to let it drain as long as possible. Start it draining and then do some detail work, etc. :D

It's only a oil change.... jacking up and jacking down is the hard part ...... Do it every 3k and forget it, I try and not make rocket sceince out of it .... you will never get every last dorp out of the engine so don't lose any sleep over it, just let it stop dripping and reinstall the plug. I do prefill the filter before I install it. :D

Just start the engine after the oil is out for a few seconds and it will purge the rest of the oil out of the block :smash: :smash: :smash:
DISCLAIMER: This is a joke. I don't want some ******** coming to me complaining after they tried this blaming me for a scored engine :p:
I usually take the opportunity to remove all the rubber from the wheel wells while the oil is draining, by the time I finish there isn't a drop left in the motor
