B1527, intermittent gauge failure, etc
Afternoon folks
As the title states, I'm dealing with a few issues that have all seemed to pop up at once.
First off I noticed that the buttons on my DIC were not working. Then after shutting the car down and locking the doors, the fob took a dive and hasn't worked since.
I pulled the fault codes and got a B1527 related to the options button on the DIC. I've verified that the options button is constantly showing as being "active" so I know I have a problem there. My question is whether anyone is aware of a common failure point with these, whether it be the connector, wiring or the dash itself?
I have the dash pad out and will start checking the wiring integrity/ continuity this evening, was just hoping for a shortcut.
Also when I was driving the car home after pulling the dash pad, all of the gauges went dead for a minute but came back after I gave the cluster a small shake.....has me thinking connector.
