Default Another Vararam Install Question - MAF

I'm getting ready to install a Vararam cold air intake with the Vararam power duct. (2004 C5 Coupe) The previous owner moved the MAF up next to the Throttle Body with a K&N filter install. I know the original position is to have the MAF on the lower end of the original air duct. For the Vararam, what is the best location for the install of the MAF - on the lower end of the power duct - or on the upper end of the power duct (next to the throttle body) and why?

Thanks,

I believe if your using the stock MAF it needs to be in the stock position for the best results... I just had my 04 with the Vararam and the MAF installed in the stock position by Chuck Cow and he suggested the MAF be in that position... It can cause turbulence closer to the throttle body and throw codes... I had read some other post on this subject which led me to believe the stock position is preferred.
I didn't use the POWER DUCT and I believe it's even MORE critical to be in the stock position if using the POWER DUCT.

Use the stock location. Be absolutely sure to have the vehicle tuned after the install.

Please call us if you're needing someone to tune it.

Thank you.
