Default replacing running lights

Hello all,

Has anyone replaced a burned out running light bulb? It's probably a simple procedure but it's appearing to me as if the headlight assembly has to be removed. Does anyone have a simpler solution?

Thanks,

John

Don't need to remove headlight assembly. You can either go through the bottom of the car ( side where bulb is out) by removing a few screws and sticking your hand up to the bulb. There is alot of give in that access panel or (my method) remove only the headlight plastic shroud and the painted metal cover of the headlight. This will give you plenty of room to reach down to the bulb which simply twists out like any other automotive bulbl (you have to push in the plastic catch at the bulbs base to turn the bulb). If the rubber over metal hood stop gets in your way simply loosen it at the nut by just 1/2 turn and unscrew it . When you replace it hand tighten till you hit the nut and then turn clockwise 1/2 turn (approx) until secure.

thanks, i used your method and it worked fine. the bulb number btw is 3157 or 4157. the cross reference books at the auto part store and the owner manual are somewhat ambiguous as to what the replacement bulb is.
