So, what's the dang deal ???
Is John at CCW the only one on the planet that has broken the code on this? Don't get me wrong now, CCW wheels rock. I would just like another choice of design. With all of the seriously expensive, custom and non-custom, wheel fitments for the C5 and no one else can get me 335's under the fender? I don't get it? What am I missing?
Thanks Nate! I talked to Cliff at Fikse and he said they can't do it for some reason or another. I had previously spoke with Travis and he said they could. I am not sure what the problem is. When I first spoke w/ Travis a few weeks ago he said he could do it, but that wasn't for their new Profil 5S. I am not sure if that makes a difference or not.
I guess we are screwed unless we tub but I refuse to pay $2500 for such an easy job, although time consuming. We could wait for cooler weather and do Corey's first. :p: :p:  :p: :p:
I can't wait to see your car with some wheels Ken. At least I know they'll be clean as hell
Seeya soon :seeya
You know it!
I agree with Rick (see above). Most know that I don't mind polishing now and then () but I'd have to quit my job and go full time to keeping the CCW's looking good. Besides, I would just like another choice in design...or two.......or three.....or more. This is one of the very few issues I have with the C5. The fact that it was not designed to handle wider rear tires. :nonod:
Ken, I've had several sets of wheels that have spokes like CCWs. They are not easy to clean, but not as hard as you might think. I know how **** you are, but I would not rule it out.
The nice thing about CCW is that John apparently tells you it WILL work, then he makes it right. Everyone else is gonna tell you that you are on your own if they rub. I agree that it's not rocket science. It's just width and back spacing (and ride height).
I don't blame you for getting frustrated. I think your supplier owes you a huge apology for the time it's taking. Maybe a little help on the pricing as well. It's just not right! And if he wants to blame the manufacturer, he needs to get them to do something for you. Just my .02.
I agree with Jim! What's the deal with these things taking so long Ken? I called 3 forum vendors last Monday to price some wheels and talked to someone at each place. It is now Friday evening and I have not gotten a call back from anyone except Shawn at L.A.P.D. This is not very good business when I am considering spending that kind of cash. I would think I would get a call from the other two to let me know they are still talking with the supplier about my special backspacing.
