This is literally driving me insane. So I need to Re Learn one of my OEM key FOBS. I know the procedure for learning but here's where things get a little tricky. I have two OEM original to the vehicle Key FOBS. When you run through the re learning process with the FOBS the DIC says please learn first key or something to that affect. I understand that once the first key is learned you can than move to your second key so the vehicle can learn that one as well. Simple yes I know. My big issue is my first key is completely destroyed and unable to run through the learning process whatsoever. I stepped on it and destroyed the board. Now the problem is when I try the re learn process on key FOB #2 the computer doesn't learn it. I'm guessing its because the car wants to learn FOB #1 1st and than move on to FOB #2. What can I do in my case. I hat having to unlock and lock the car manually. This sucks. Please help. I'm sure someone knows what to do or at least understands what I am going through. Is there some way to get the DIC to skip reading KEY FOB #1 and jump to KEY FOB #2. Also on a side note, what do I have to do to be able to disable the drivers seat and side mirrors from moving postions every time I unlock or lock the car once I figure out this KEy FOB situation. It drove me crazy when i would get int the car and the seat and mirrors would be all out of wack. Thanks guys.
OP, the reason the FOBs were numbered as 1 or 2 was so if you have programmed Memory settings then you can look at the FOB and tell which one is programed as 1 or 2.
Maybe that explains why you are having some seat and mirror motion issues.
