When you pulled over and checked the codes did you leave the engine running or shut it off when pulling the codes?? What were the actual codes stored after this drive??
Tire sizes should not be related to your symptoms as the rear tire overall diameter is about 1.2" larger than the front tire overall diameter.
Car was running, the pcm codes were gone at the time, but still had TC codes. None of the codes reset usin the dash buttons, my buddy was able to reset um with a plug in reader.
Man this is so confusing, I put the battery back in, fires up, revs like normal, was able to clear all codes, just have to hold the button down a few secs instead of just depressing and lettin loose...Doh LOL
Let it sit for a few mins, restarted and bam, pcs code p1120 and TCS c1278. Least I'm down to one code now.
While car is running I can reset the PCM code and the idle drops runs a bit rough, but will rev up fine. When I reset the TC code the TC light on dash goes out, but comes right back on and still will rev.

I just did the ignition switch a few weeks ago as I was getting the security light and no start once in awhile, took care not to booger it up and break anything, may have not got um good enough?
So I'm sitting here in the car and starting and shut down, start again and before even turning the car over I get reduced engine pwr, it's not scrollin saying anything about traction control now.
Start the car and the TC message comes up also. So I'm starting to get POed at this point, take a break do lunch and I'll get back at it.
Thank you 8Vette7 for hanging out here and helpin me out. Gonna get the car home and get after it there. Lunch didn't improve my mood, lol.
Does anyone know if the throttle body connector is the same for a C5 and C6. The C6 TB on my car has one connector, which I pulled the FRCs and looked to see if I could notice a splice area and didn't see anything.
If it's the same then I should be able to use the pin out from the C5 service manual, no?
Can you Reset a message on the DIC with the button like Door Ajar?
Yes, earlier I was having problems and couldn't reset anything, but found out that I needed to hold the button down a few secs. I can reset the PCM and TCS codes now.

Hwhile at the shop I pulled the battery again, checked cleaned the grounds at the battery, and on both sides of the frame in front.
The pulled all the connectors of in and around the battery area checking for corrosion and loose messed up contacts, all looked good.
Put the battery back in, fired up the car nd no DIC messages and no dash lights, cleared the history codes and drove home, half way home the security light came on, nothin else and ran fine,.
Before turning off the car I checked codes and had new current ones
TCS C1255. C1278. BCM B2721
So I'm gonna study up on the TPS and check the voltages there and see if I can find something wrong
Thanks again, you guys have been great
