After I bought my car(came with B&M) I was having trouble getting it to go and sometimes stay in second. When I took it in I asked them if the syncroes were going bad and they said it could be the shifter out of alignment. I asked if my car was still under warrenty for the transmission because of the shifter and he told me they look at the problem and determine if it was caused by the shifter. So I am guessing if there is a problem they would blame the shifter no matter what. Unless you have a cool dealer.
