Air Conditioner Control
In automatic or manual mode the A/C may delay up to 5 minutes before it responds. This may occur on cold or hot starts. When in operation, the A/C has good capacity. The freon has been checked for capacity.

Checked the HVAC section of the service manual under the trouble shooting guide. The only thing on the list that I saw that might be causing the problem is a faulty a/c relay. This could delay the a/c compressor clutch from engaging momentarily. Less likely could be an a/c clutch coil feed or grounding problem. Have you checked the DIC for any DTC codes? This should help to point you in the right direction. If you are getting any codes, let us know what they are.
