Electrical Problems - Driver's Door
The problem started with an on-screen wiring error on my aftermarket JVC stereo (no sound). Now the windows and the door locks will not work from the driver's door. The passenger side controls work fine. My window is down and I can't really drive it due to the erratic weather we are having.

Didn't think about codes. Still not used to all these onboard computers and such. I came to this car from a C3. Is there one fuse that would run all the door hardware?

Fuse 33 and 34 in the I/P fuse box are for the left door.
If they are good, check the connector in the accordion boot at the A-pillar. Refer to Post 1, the blue connector.

I'm sure of what happened. My radio stopped working, my reduced power light came on, warning chimes, everything going crazy on the dash. I pulled to the side of the road and shut off the car. Restarted it, everything seemed good, a block away it went crazy again. I drove it home on reduced power. Pulled up in front of my house and realized my passenger window won't go up. Posted a thread on here about the warning alarm, and got advice on what to check. A thread someone pointed me to suggested it's a problem in a connector inside one of the door accordions or in the box under the front passenger foot well.
I checked the passenger door accordion wire first since that side window wasn't working. As soon as I disconnected it, I could tell one of them wasn't seating properly. I jiggled the female end with an allen wrench, pushed it back together and the window motor began working and the reduced power light stayed off. I'm certain the fault in the door wiring connector was causing both my window motor and reduced power light issue. Thanks to the forum, it was an easy fix.

I have heard of an issue like that causing a Reduced Engine Power DIC indication. I am still stumped by how that can happen. Makes no reasonable sense. I could understand if the serial buss wire was getting grounded but that seems very unlikely in the connector.

No messages popped up. Things just stopped working. However, it seems that my wife noticed that the passenger window rolled down on its own at the same time the driver door gremlins attacked.
I'm not going to have time to check it until I get home from Carlisle. Wasn't going to take the Corvette anyway.
I'll check the blue plug and report back then. Ant other suggestions on things to check?
