Has anyone seen gains from programing after headers? I am fixing to put on the FLP System. I already have Borla, Yank 3200, Halltec Tric. Can Ed Wright help me out or will it not make much difference? Thanks
I don't know about Ed Wright, it seems that LS1Edit dyno tuning is the way to go if you get it done. They change the program with your car on the dyno, and modify it to fit your car exactly.
Don't really know if it'll be worth it until you see what your air fuel ratio is on a wideband O2 sensor on a dyno. If it's around 13.0:1, then I'd say don't get tuning because it is just about perfect. If it is below 12:1, then you'll pick up power (can't say exactly how much). If it's above 14:1, then I'd say definately get it, because it can be dangerous to run too lean. Below 11:1 is also a no-brainer, do it for sure and pick up a noticeable amount of power.
Maybe the place you'd have it dyno tuned at would let you do a dyno run to see where your AFR is, to decide if you want the tuning?
Maybe they won't though, since if the AFR looks good they'd only get $50-$80 for the dyno run, instead of $500 for tuning.
