Default Code c1287 and C1214 - Which to address first?

So from my research, it appears code c1287 is typically the steering wheel position sensor, and code c1214 is typically fixed by reflowing the solder on the relay inside the EBCM. (I had great success fixing the dim HVAC display by reflowing the solder in that, so I'm feeling more confident with my solder skills, haha).

I get code c1287 pretty regular, the c1214 code has only happened once. (I've only owned the car maybe a month).

I'm typically a fan of making one change at a time. Do you see any advantage to which issue gets addressed first? As in, any chance one is related to the other in any way? I also like to avoiding fixing something that isn't broken.

Unless suggested otherwise, I'll probably start with the SWPS.

Cheers.

8Vette7, I recall that being discussed in some of the other threads about the SWPS. I don't recall the steering wheel being off, but I'll certainly go drive it one more time before diving in.
