Sounds like a bearing hub to me. Jack the front and see if there is any play in the wheels, when pulling at the 12 & 6 o'clock positions. If those a tight, check the sway bars.
Since you only hear the clunking noise on left u turns, check your end links on the sway bar, check the sway bar to make sure its tight as well. If you need to replace the end links (they do go bad), make sure to get the metal ones. Other areas is a general inspection of the entire front suspension making sure you don't have any loose bolts. Keep us updated as to what you find.
I have a 2003 corvette and the center armrest conpartment runs very warm, any ideas?
This is unfortunately normal to all C5s
You can pull the console and use some thin reflective heat insulation on the trans tunnel top. Then reinstall the console. This will help, but not entirely resolve the heat issue. I have used FrostKing self-adhesive duct insulation in the past with fair results. On my recent 03 I used a product that is foil faced on both sides with a center of small plastic bubbles. No adhesive but seems to reduce the heat as well as the FrostKing stuff....
