Default Break rotor and pad package

I was wondering if this was a good route to go for rotors and pads or if you guys had any better options. I have a 2000 model c5. Rotors may be salvageable. They mostly just have some sort of acid or etching that is white in color all over them. Looks like someone put an aggressive cleaner on them. Possibly can paint that part of the rotor.

Reviews are good and that seems like a fair price. I prefer only slotted, but if your not racing, these should be just fine.

Less of a tendency to crack along where the holes are drilled. If you drive the car normally and occasionally drive it like you stole it, then drilled are OK. If you run it hard a lot of the time and over heat the rotors, you may experience cracking. Many guys run them without ever having this happen. There is really no difference in the braking ability of the rotors either way. Good luck what ever you decide. Rod

If you drive it like you stole it than I would not cheap out on your brakes.

Get a set of Centric premium rotors and a quality brake pad such as the Carbotech 1521. If interested in the Carbotech pads I will be happy to help you.

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.
