Can the stock C5 trans , half shafts, and diff handle around 500 wheel torque? I already have fairly new LS7 clutch in as well. That's my optimistic goal after long tubes, cold air, and pump gas dyno tune with the LS376/480 crate engine. Is there anything I should replace when doing the engine swap?
It should be fine. My car only has a hardened driver's side diff output shaft. The half shafts and trans in my car are still stock. I've run the current LS7 and in the past heads/cam/headers/sc and never has a problem with anything.

My C5Z has an LS7 in it that puts out 565 to the wheels and it has stock diff, half shafts, and torque tube. It sees the track regularly in this configuration.

668rwhp and i beat the crap out of the car..noone of those have broken but I'm not launching on DR or slicks on the dragstrip either...
Have 418ci LS3 stroker here at 490rw/484tq. Still stock trans, gears, and output shafts. Like Chicago mentioned though, im not out there on a track with DR's or slicks. Im also around 123k mi. I just drive around town and have a little fun while im at it. Dropping the clutch and dead hooking with that sort of power and ill put money on things going kaboom in no time.
