I will call Jayson tomorrow but until then .... we did some minor mods in my garage yesterday. Simply added some A pillar guages for the Nitrous bottle pressure and Fuel pressure. The battery was disconected and reconnected a few times when we attempted to wire things up.
Anyhoo ... today I was driving the car to a show and she was really sputtering at WOT. Idled fine and drove around in traffic fine but when I hit it ... she sputters like hell. Oil pressure is about 15psi lower than normal. Usually idles about 40 psi right now she idles at about 25psi. I was parked and gave it a rev or two and some nice, thick blue smoke was blowing out of her big booty. :D
Any thoughts?? Could the computer just be re-learning. I have only put about 13 miles on it since the mods yesterday.
Thanks JB!! I talked to jayson at MTI and it seem as though I may have gotten some water into a few vital areas while prepping for the car show. She will be sitting for the next three days and will have some time to dry out. We see. :D
Hopefully it's not what I think, but Iam leaning toward piston rings going bad. Do a compression test & see if there is one cylinder with less compression than others.
Did you touch the wiring at all that activates the Nitrous or the fuel solenoid? Perhaps the system is hitting 3000rpm and the window switch is telling the solenoids to open, and the bottle is closed so only fuel is being sprayed in, thus making it run REAL rich? Of course, this would not explain the low oil pressure unless you are filling your oil up with fuel and its thinning out...

That was it. Yesterday we discovered that while rewiring the guages the system was activated and I did not notice. No N20 in the bottle right now and with the bottle closed ... well that was it. Next thing to do is move the switches to a place that I can see them. As far as the oils pressure goes. That may just be a byproduct of the relearn ... :D
Drove it home from the show yesterday and all is well. I still need to put my 50 miles on it for the relearn but motor is running great. Thanks guys!!
