Default Holley LS1 Intake Mods

Initial testing proved to be a waste of $500.00 I loss 10HP over zo6 Manifold throughout the rpm. Anyone had a Holley LS1 Intake Extrude honed They claim a 25-30% increase in flow. Extrude hone is another
$500.00 or do I just send it back! I know my 415 cid wants more
a better Intake (More air). The holley plenum volume looks to be small er than the Z06!! Any good results or port work on these !

Yeah I am not surprised by your results. I purchased that intake, but after talking to some people who tested it for LPE, I sold it. From what I heard LPE knows that intake basically sucks, but decided to sell it to cover costs. Thanks LPE
I talked to the people at extrude hone and they wanted about $600+ to extrude hone the thing. I laughed at that.
oh yeah that intake is NOT a simple bolt on. You have to make a block off for the EGR and counter sink the bolts on the valley cover ahhaahh jeeezzz IMO LPE is just using his name to sell his junk intake. Overpriced also...

The LS6 intakes seems to be the best intake unless you go custom intake... like this one :D :D :D

NOT what I wanted to hear, read. I'm in the middle of putting mine on and all I hear is negative information. I may just call SLP and order the LS6 one and use the Holly as an expensive door stop. (Too big for a paper weight).

did you check the temp of the air in the manifold vs the stock GM one? the HP loss is 1% for every 10 degrees increase in air temp and the aluminum manifold will pick up more engine heat than the stock plastic one. :chevy

Vetetech/Bensc5- If that was me I would be pissed. I would send it back for credit and let the credit card company handle it for you. Maybe you can at least get credit with the place you bought it..... :mad
