The seats in my 98 is sliding back and forth some centimetres when accelerating/braking. My friends C5 is the same, and I've heard it's quite common. I've tried to search this forum, but couldn't find many treads on this, maybe I didn't use the right search words...
Anyway - what is the fix for this? Is there an adjustment in in the seats that minimizes this (I think the movement was smaller before I started adusting the seats...)?
For the Corvette Forum it's better to use the GOOGLE search, rather than the forum search... the GOOGLE usually will give you some CF results that relate to your search... Try searching Rocking Seats....
I bought a seat repair kit from Ecklers. It has new plastic shims that solve the problem. I think the kit cost about $25. Many vendors carry kits. I know Mid-America and Corvette Central also have kits.
My friend had this done here in Norway, and he got charged approx 600$ for it. They told him that the hole seat had to be taken apart. You disagree with that?
