Intermediate steering shaft
Will a 2001 intermediate steering shaft fit a 2000 model? There is play in the plastic hemispherical coupling in my 2000 FRC and the GM replacement sphere has the same slop. The 2001 intermediate steering shaft coupling I came across has a metal U-joint and no play.

Interesting - my 4runner has the same issue - I removed the column and had 2 tack welds put on the "coupling shaft" and my play is gone....
