throttle body is it worth it?
I am looking to buy a new throttle body which is larger than the stock one. I would probably buy it from breathless performance. did anyone feel any difference with this or not.

Unless you have modified the complete intake system I think you will disapointed..Go with the BP Vortex package and the TB..then maybe you will have some SOTP results:D The TB alone will only give you 5-8 H.P by itself.

The best thing about "bigger" throttle bodies is the profit made when selling them! They are nothing more than an ad to your "stuff" list. Go with a wet 100 HP system if you really want to kick it. :jester :jester

$400 for a TB that is 4mm bigger than stock is a complete waste of $$$$$$$$. This would be the last desperate thing you should do after you've done everything else. Unless you've done H/C, exhausts, opened up intake and can fully justify this miniscule mod, put the $$$$$$ somewhere else, and just polish your stock one.

Thank you for all your input, i was considering a ported one or a bbk now i believe I will wait and do something else. I already have the headers ,exhaust and full intake system. maybe I will spend the money on the ls6 intake.

I had all the bolt-ons possible except a ported t-body so I picked one up at Carlisle over the weekend. It made a difference in throttle respose and only cost $225. I thought it was worth it.
