Default Window regulator - please see the pic

Several months ago the driver side window would bind going up. Happened just a few times. But i figured i should take a look. After reading all the online material (including Bill Curlee motor disassembly lesson) I opened the door and removed assembly.
If you look at the picture you see that black gear housing, and the 2cables coming out of there. There is a green plastic on one end, a spring and then a blue plastic shield.
I am trying to figure out if one of the blue plastic pieces is broken. One extends through the spring, past the green piece and into the black tube of the gear housing. The other one has no tube inside the spring.
Anyone have a way to check on this? I think my blue tube broke off and slid inside the gear housing.

Not sure what you are asking. These are generic (not Vette specific) POS plastic parts. Best option is to get a replacement unit. They are not too expensive from a vendor or on line.

I am aware of the availability of replacement regulators. Not interested in replacing mine as it is still working. While i had the old regulator out i removed that metal plate on the back of the spool/gear housing. In fact there was a piece of blue plastic tube inside the black tube.
My guess is that the binding happened when the plastic tube cracked and then broke.
BTW - dirty little "secret" about replacing the window regulator - to get access you need to remove the water shield. That rubber-plastic material gets all brittle and crumbly when you take it off and it is more or less not re-useable. So now there is another component to replace. And i have never seen this component discussed in any of the repair videos. I think that is a primary reason some of the interior door panels fall apart and go to crap. Keep water at bay.
Just be aware of this so you can get all your parts ahead of time.
