I got new wheels that came with the ITM sensors in them. All new and I was told they used my VIN to program them and all I need to do it wake them up. With my 99 you need a magnet, but I tried all kinds of magnets and nothing...So what is the secret here? Of course, telling me to train them before they go in the wheels is something I learned after the fact.....Any help will be appreciated....
Yeah...I was told this was done before the wheels were sent to me. I was assured that it was also tested after they were mounted in the wheels...one tire shop suggested that I clone my old sensors. I was hoping there was a less intrusive way...

I purchased new tires and wheels that came with ITM sensors for my 03. The only way I could get them programed is with this tool I purchased on eBay. I tried every other method. It took like 10 seconds once I had the tool.
Waking up the stock sensors just means driving the car above 10-5 mph since they shut off to conserve battery power when the car is stopped. When stopped for over 1 minute they shut off.
PS: Are you afraid to ask the people that installed them?
OK...I will look into it but I keep spending money and it still does not work...I have a 99 and even ITM shows I need a magnet to trigger them..[QUOTE=Ricky77077;1590813427]

Not sure what you mean about being afraid. I am talking about ITM sensors and not stock ones..so do you have experience with the ITMs?

I checked ITM out because my RF sensor is slow to respond and I'll need new sensors soon. There is no info on how to active the sensors so the car can learn them. The SensorAID manual also says nothing about how to match the sensor to the car. The only way that wasn't exactly spelled out but would work would be cloning the old sensor and putting the new ones in the same location.
Someone here used a different kind of aftermarket sensor and he had to drop the air pressure something like 10psi to train each one. The Ebay place selling them specified to do that instead of the magnet. So, give that a try. Maybe they were these ITM sensors.
I called a bunch of tire shops and all said I need to clone my old sensors which would require me to breakdown my new wheels to get the sensors out. I finally tried letting air out of the tires and it worked like a charm..no magnet needed...

I know. It would have saved me a lot of aggregation. When I called them they said to use the magnet. Its even listed on their site to use the magnet. Know you still need the sensors configured to your VIN which was done by the wheel company I bought my setup from. So all I needed to do was wake them up to sync...
