Need Help with Removing Windshield Wiper Arms
I have to replace the trim/molding at bottom of windshield and it looks like removing wiper arms is required.
I popped the small plastic cap on one and removed the nut I found inside but then I am lost as to what to do next.
The wiper arm will not come off. Is is threaded on there?
Do not want to pull on it too hard and brake something else.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The way I got mine off was to first turn on the wipers in the intemittent mode and then turn off the key when they parked in the down position (but not all the way down on the stops). Then I marked the position of the blades with some masking tape so I could line them back up in the proper position for re-installation. Then pop the plastic plugs at the pivot ends to get at the nuts. Remove the nuts. The arms will seem real tight even after the nuts are off. You need to pull up on them at the blade end, letting the hinge work, and shake them back and forth a little. They will break loose and come right off. Good luck.
