Help - C1276 DTC - long
I have followed the troublshooting guide in the service manual as close as I can but I don't have the cable breakout box & adapters they refer to. According to the troubleshooting guide the problem is in the wire 464 curcuit. The schematic shows wire 464 goes directly from the PCM to the EBTCM. I don't have the 123Hz that is supposed to be there with C2 at the PCM connected & the EBTCM discnnected. The freq is jumping all around. I do have .2ohms resistance which is good continuity on 464 with both connectors disconnected. This would indicate the wire is not broken. However, I have battery voltage at both ends of 464 with both connectors disconnected & the battery hooked up. This would indicate a short to voltage.
For those electrical gurus out there, does this sound logical?
Anyone else have trouble with battery acid eating through wire insulation?
Any suggestions apprieated before I start cutting into the wiring harness tomarrow afternoon.
