Door skin replacement
After buying car I noticed the door skin has some cracks that appear to be deep. The car is torch red. How hard is it to replace just the skin?

OP, did you buy a C5? You can pick up a used door assembly for a few hundred. If your talking about your C3, I was involved in replacing a door skin and it was very difficult to remove and re-bond the new one.

Yep 2001 z06. Still have the 74vert.
I'll try to get a pic up, but it's hard for the tablet phone to show the crack.

Was it repainted? Cracks may only be in the paint.

Don't know if door was painted. The spear has been touched up for sure. Also, the cracks appear raised in places. Definitely not just the paint.

I do all the painting on my cars and if it were me I would get a replacement door. If it were metal I would just fix it.

My door stickers match. I was hoping to just change out red skins.

Congrats on the C5. The skin can be changed out. Seems like they were about $500 - $700 range painted? Can't remember.

Great, it can be done. Has anyone here done it?
