My 04Z came with new rear Supercar F1's (and same but bald fronts) so I got new front to match. I therefore have no direct comparison to other tires on the same car.
That said I like them; not very noisy, good grip... pleased. Would I spend the coin if I had to buy 4, no. From what I read here there are better and cheaper options (Michelin for one).
You're talking about the original equipment runflats or the non-runflats?
Just about any tire will beat the run flats, and at a cheaper price. I really can't believe Goodyear has managed to sell those tires at such high prices all these years. The non-run flats have been selling cheaper lately but still not worth the price. Must be a lot of Corvette owners who just must have the F1 runflat tires because they came on the car from the factory.....
The Hankook Ventus V12 are a good cheap tire. Otherwise, the Michelin Pilot SS tires are the ones to get unless you just must have runflats. Then, either set of the Michelin PS ZP tires would be a better and cheaper choice compared to the F1 runflats. Beyond these, there are also tires like the Continental Extremecontacts, the Nitto NT555 or NT01 or the Bridgestone RE-11's that work well.

There are much better tires out there than the Goodyear F1s. Michelin makes a good tire in the Pilot Sport series, both in runflat and non-runflats.
I personally run a set of the Hankook Ventus V12s on my car and love them. Great handling, traction, ride, low road noise, performs well in the rain and best of all can be bought for around $600 for a set of four.
If you're referring to the EAGLE F1 Supercars that came on the 2001-2004 ZO-6, I've been running them on my 2000 Hardtop since 2004. Great tire in my opinion and excellent grip for a max performance summer tire.
If you are referring to the EAGLE F1 GS EMT (run-flats) that came on the non-ZO6, C5's, that's a different story. When new they are relatively quiet and have excellent grip for an ultra high performance summer tire, in the wet and dry. However as they age and get multiple heat cycles on them, they do get louder and begin to lose some of their grip, as others have mentioned.
Keep in mind that any zero pressure/run-flat tire is going to run roughly $100 more than an equivalent non-run-flat tire. For this reason alone most non-run-flats are going to appear to be a better value, at least price wise.
Thanks for the reply's guys. I just got my 98 and need to replace the tires. Was wanting to replace the wagon wheels anyway and came across an ad for OEM 2008 wheels with the Goodyears. Pulled off the car after 2k miles. Great shape and I was trying to kill 2 birds with one stone for a cheap price. Thanks to the forum I've figured out I'll need wheel adapters because of the different offsets, and not a lot of love for the run flats. Damn, thought I'd found a real deal !
Thanks for all the great advice

A couple negatives there:
-Run flats
-Tires are OEM 2008; in other words tires we're manufactured at least 8 years ago
