Default Remove and replace center console accessory port 12v

I have searched high and low on the forum for how to take it out but I cannot find any specific instructions other than variations of pulling or unscrewing it. I have tried that and it does not budge. The port does not work anymore but I checked the fuse and it was fine and I verified with a multi meter that 12v was going to the wires and plug and it there is current. So it must be the plug. I got an aftermarket usb socket that I kind of want to put there instead and I will wire it to the accessory wires under the passenger area (mine is an 03 and I found the wires...so we are good there). So how do I get this out? Here is the picture so there is no confusion that I am not talking about the cigarette plug in front.

Thanks!

I've taken a few of these out and, once you do it successfully the first time, it looks obvious. It does take a significant amount of force to spin it - just be careful not to screw up the hole it's mounted in.

I finally did it, very simple if you have the console outside of the car. Just turn it with some pliers with slight pressure pushing in and the first ear goes through the hole and turn it a little more for the second. Thanks! Hopefully my USB plug fits where it went.
