Default 2 piece timing chain covers (Hamburger Performance?)

As I research the crap out of my heads/cam build I'm thinking about a 2 piece timing cover. Searching here and on the net seems to be:

Edelbrock (apparently doesn't work with dual roller chains), $215

QTP (not sure of availability.. looks back ordered), $450

ebay Special- $179 from Camarohawk
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Camaro-Fireb...RTNYpa&vxp=mtr

And now- Hamburger Performance's $484! but looks best quality and compatible with dual roller chains.

I've never heard of Hamburger Performance, but this piece looks the newest out of them. Hotrod Mag did an article:

http://www.hotrod.com/news/hamburger...-timing-cover/

Any experiences with them? I'm almost tempted to go with the ebay special, as I don't plan on running a dual roller timing chain. Any thoughts?

They have a long history making performance parts, but used to be primarily Mopar. I see the name in more and more performance builds. Used to be really good stuff but not sure about how they are now.

Hamburger name has been around for a very long time, both as a racer and aftermarket (hi-po oil pans I think) parts. IIRC, it was Ed Hamburger that started/founded SLP. Not sure if there is any family connections here though. If I were to guess, I would say there probably is.

Sounds good. Any comment on the ebay special timing cover? I've seen the seller Camarohawk mentioned before with the "cheaper" clutch master cylinder. I'd be willing t pay $200ish for a 2 piece timing cover but not $400+

Yes, It's the same fellow, but I don't for sure if SLP was split off as a separate entity....

Also found this one from Jegs-

Speedmaster PCE265.1036

Looks like the kit version comes with a dual roller chain, which leads me to believe it can take the dual rollers.

So far this seems to be the best value- but I can't find any reviews on it

Use a band saw. Cut yours in half. Use RTV to seal it up when you put it back together.

Works good. Last long time...
