Coating (SwainTech/JetHot) for X pipe?

With the OEM cats/H pipe- the tunnel area already gets hot, particularly in the summer and in slow traffic situations. The AC doesn't have much circulation to the feet area either.
I already have a thicker tunnel stiffener and the interior insulation kit but think there's room for improvement.
Thus I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to also get the X pipe (or at least the front) of it done. At $40 a foot for tubing, it adds up pretty quickly. Looking from the positioning of where the X pipe starts, it's already under the tunnel. Any thoughts/experience?
