Default OBX Headers Installed

I just want to post my experience with my OBX Long Tube Header x pipe high flow cat kit I got on ebay for $675 shipped. Went on my 2002 Z06.

Myself and my mechanic friend installed the system 2 days ago. It took us about 6 hours but we didnt have a lift so took a little longer.

Everything fit perfectly except for egr connection on the passenger side header. We had to bend the stock egr hose a little to get it in to place and it was a tight fit and we stripped the threading on the header a little. We had to re thread the hole and use a different bolt.

Other than the EGR everything fit perfectly.

I have OBX exhaust on the car as well. The car sounds pretty sick right now. Only thing is I am getting a lot of drone at certain rpms. I may swap out the OBX exhaust for the Corsa to help with the drone. I havent driven it much because I am waiting for the front O2 extensions to come in the mail which should be here tomorrow. Then I am getting the car tuned next week and hopefully dynod in January.

Just wanted to say that I had a pretty good experience so far with the OBX system. We will see how they hold up but so far so good. I will post my dyno numbers when I get it done. So my car now has a Halltech CAI, OBX Long Tube Headers, X pipe, high flow Cats and exhaust.

Awesome. Do the cats seem pretty nice? Metal interior? And how is the overall quality of the welds?

Cats are metal interior. Looks like decent quality. My mechanic friend who knows better than me said the welds look fine.

I have the OBX long tubes, x pipe, no cats, and TI ZO6 mufflers. I think it's perfect. Zero drone , quiet idle, but sings above 3k.

Hope the tune helps you out with the drone. The Corsa's will definitely help.
