Default any good programmers???

I have not heard anything good about computer chips and programmers in terms of HP increase. Does anyone know how I could increase HP and torque in my C5? I have a Corsa Exhaust and a Blackwing induction already. is there anything I can do on my own? I

About the only option you have is the Hypertech III which is a hand held unit that connects to your computer via the data port in your car. You can change the rev limiter , calibrate for gear changes, set fan control and tweak the shift points. Unless your proficient with a LS1 edit your limited to dealing with the programmers out there. Ed Wright at www.fastchip.com is excellent and will have your PCM back to you within a few days..prbably your best option right now..:D

El Paso, geeez, that's a long haul from anywhere. There's forum tuners in AZ, Dallas and Houston, all of which can dyno tune your car with LS-1 Edit. Ed Wright is probably as good as they come, but he locks his program which means you're limited in the future w/ who you can go to tune your ride, namely him. I don't like that part so I would go to 21st Century outside Dallas, MTI or SpeedDemon in Houston. There's probably others w/in driving range that don't come to mind at this moment. Good Luck.

As for HPP3, read this thread,http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=375701

Got to go with Ed Wright at Fastchip, he says it's worth about 20HP on the dyno(he also dyno tunes) for his basic program. But the change in performance is amazing! Feels like a whole different car! Turn around should only be about a week if you send him your PCM. :yesnod:

So how does Ed program without a chassis dyno and the guy's car?? A static generic tune can't be as good as a chassis tune.
