How come not many people go w/ the Z07 motor from MTI? Is there cheaper alternatives that give the same or more HP? I am hoping next spring I will have the money for a motor swap and want to do an ATI procharger on top of that later in the year. At this time who is making the best numbers and full motors? Thanks, Kaley

$$$$$$   But after all, it is just money and you only live once, right? :D

Jayson is building me a 408 iron block motor, specificly for nitrous application. I plan on spraying 200-250shot with this motor.   Should I get a license plate that reads "Z07 KLR"?   :jester

That is going to be one wicked motor. :smash: :smash: :smash:
So if the Z07 is to high of compression for a supercharged application what would be a good option. What is the most horsepower I could get out of a low compression motor that would work well w/ a supercharger? I will not be doing both at the same time so I want a good amount of horsepower while I am saving my pennies for the procharger. Thanks, Kaley

If that is the plan, I would do what the man at LPE told me ... I called them up and was ordering wheels, but asked .... " One day I hope to get one of your 427TT packages, but probably could afford both at once, what should I get first?"
Tim at LPE said to get the Turbos, in your case, SC ... the SC can be bolted onto a built low compression engine. If you want high HP off the bat w/ the engine ... you will have to drop the compression when you get the SC, otherwise you will have problems.
Ditto, to AP, you cannot have both high hp normally aspirated and high hp boosted with the same compression ratio. In fact, there are usually different optimized cams, as well--and that's even the case between belt driven SCs and turbos. :yesnod: All the best.
