Are they real lugnuts on the 03s or just caps over the nuts and do they have locks on them? Just wondering thinking about upgradeing the plastic ones on my 02. :chevy
The stainless steel late '02 and '03 covers do not screw on, they are an integal part of the lug nut itself and there is a rolled attachment at the base of the nut (for lack of better description).
Mcgard lockers can be orderd through Ken. The storage recess for the locking key is still in the rear compartment area,on coupes anyway.
Wow thats good to know, thanks I think they look much better than the plastic ones. I think Im going to have to order some. :chevy :chevy
The plastic are a pain and they don't look all that good. The only thing I don't like about the new ones is you can't see if they are coming loose at the track. With the older ones you can take the plastic covers off and see in a second if one of the lugs is looser than the others.
Locking log nut for each wheel is still supplied on 2003 cars. Dealer installs them before customer delivery. Our 2003 has them as does the cars on the dealers showroom floor. Of course dealer didn't give me the 4 lug nuts he took off till I ask for them.
