Default Question about shifting on an A4
What is the highest speed you can go before the trans will not downshift into first anymore ?
It seems my car will not downshift to 1st gear after I go over 38 mph when I floor it, Is this normal ? :chevy

I'm not sure of the exact max shift point but 38 MPH sounds about right. Also, it probably depends on which gears you have.

38-40 on my car, 99 a4 with 3.15s
Sometimes at 40 it will downshift, sometimes it wont so yours is normal.
