Re: Thinking about replacing wires, what set do u use? (whip383)
I have been more than satisifed with the Taylor ThunderVolt 50s...10.4 MM...I bought last year. Very well built and can take the heat....literally. The number 2 cylinder wire is practically touching the FLP headers and it shows no signs of damage at all and I am not using any cool socks to help it out.
Now, the standard Taylor wires are not even close to the quality of the ThunderVolts and I would stay away from those....they aren't hand inspected and tested like the ThunderVolts are and it shows.

Chan , when my header was frying my #5 & #7 wire i had a chance to try them all :lol: ( Taylor , Factory , MSD's ,JBA etc..)
I never noticed a performance difference between the different gauges or various Manufacturer's..But i personally prefer the MSD wires, you can actually bend the boot slightly so they are not touching the headers.

I bought some really nice wires from LGMotorsports last week. they have a kevlar heat shield and some other beefy stuff, but you can ask Justin at LG for more details. They look great too.

I used the MSD 8.5 universal wires, cut to fit. Used the stock plug ends and the metal sheaths. They were they only thing I could find to clear valvecovers. See pic;
