Default c5 Tech

On my c5 corvette both lights come on traction and abs but my hvac will not turn on, I will ran it for 15 min. the hvac will turn on and both traction and abs lights will go off. Don't know what that means?

yes I did that, had a code u1040 loss of communication with TCS.

Disconnect the battery and make sure it is good with a load test at an auto store. Reconnect it if good and let us know what happens. Reset your code before you start the car.

Seems like I recall a post where this problem was found to be caused by a faulty ignition switch. The hvac switching on and off was the clue. The poster found it hard to believe the problem could be the ignition but it was changed and problem solved. I could not find the post but I believe it was Lucky1969 who suggested the switch as the possible problem.

Took the battery off went too get check its good. Did a reset on the car code read u1040 look up the code it say loss of communication with TCS.

We need to see if the EBCM has power and a good ground. We need to know what year you have and if early is the EBCM in the front or rear.
